Recent Logos

Today I uploaded a few new logos to my growing collection on flickr. Up first we have a logotype for the super nice and uber-talented Money Mark. Mark is a keyboard player, song writer and probably most famous for being the 4th Beastie Boy (he played on Check Your Head, Ill Communication and every one after that). I got to hang out with Mark a little when we were working on the Beautiful Losers film. The logo is adapted from a poster I designed for one of his shows and was used on evites and other promotional materials.

de LaB is a small organization that organizes design events in LA. de LaB stands for Design East of La Brea. They organize bike rides to look at architecture, tours of sustainable roof gardens and river clean-ups disguised as swanky parties. If you’re in LA you should definitely check it out… if your not in LA you should steal this idea, it’s awesome.

The last entry for today is Vines. Vines was a concept for a new brand of headphones that I worked on. This is one of those unfortunate cases where a cool idea doesn’t make the cut. The client was a huge (hugest?) electronics company who I’m not going to mention at the moment. The headphones were aimed at the youth market and featured interchangable parts that could be linked together to form a never-ending network of sounds or just change color to match your shirt. Shit, someone should steal this idea too!
